Cameron Laird new Research Associate at DOE

We are thrilled to announce that Cameron Scott Laird will be joining the Centre for Medieval Studies and the Dictionary of Old English (DOE) as a Research Associate, effective July 16.
 
A CMS Alumni, Cameron brings a wealth of expertise and experience to our team. At the University of Toronto, he completed his MA in Medieval Studies, as well as his PhD with a dissertation titled, "The Poetic Tradition of Anglo-Saxon Riddles" (2021), and obtained a Bachelor of Humanities in English from Carleton University.
 
Cameron's academic interests are broad and include Old English and Anglo-Latin literature, medieval manuscripts, digital humanities, and the history of the English language. His teaching experience spans various subjects such as Old English language and literature, Old Norse literature and culture, and medieval rhetoric and poetics. Additionally, Cameron has a robust publication record with articles and chapters in peer-reviewed journals and edited books.
 
In his career, and throughout the years, Cameron has held various positions at the University of Toronto, including as Postdoctoral Fellow at the DOE. His meticulous work and dedication have greatly enriched the dictionary's progress under the supervision of Professor Robert Getz and Professor Stephen Pelle, as well as the former Editors, Professor Toni Healey and Roy Liuzza. Since 2018, Cameron has also been working as Editorial Assistant for the Épinal-Erfurt Glossary Edition Project, a joint research project at the University of Toronto and York University led by Prof. Michael Herren.
