This past September, Professor Emeritus Konrad Eisenbichler (Italian, CRRS, CMS) was elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society of the United Kingdom. As the motivation points out, “through his own research and through myriad other contributions to the discipline, both in his own scholarship and by building and extending the capacity of historical studies of the premodern world, and in mentoring and facilitating the research of others, Professor Konrad Eisenbichler has demonstrated the significant contributions to history that merit his appointment as a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.”
Founded in 1868, the Royal Historical Society is the UK’s largest and foremost organization for historians of all kinds. Fellowship in the organization grants its holders the privilege, among others, to use the postnominals FRHistS.
Congratulations, Professor Eisenbichler!
